Carpinteria Middle School students started collecting food items in November. The donation was going to help families during the holiday season. Mother Nature intervened in the the way of the Thomas Fire in early December. We adjusted. Winter Break gave us a chance to re calibrate and adjust to our new normal.
School started back up again Jan. 8th only to be cancelled for the rest of the week because of the tragic mudslides that devastated our area. Once we adjusted.
Finally, our donations found their way to the CarpStrong and Carpinteria Food Pantry to help our local victims of both the fire and the slides.
